Aramis Gonzalez is in his 5th year as Director of Bands at Miami Coral Park Sr. High. Mr. Gonzalez is proud to be a graduate from Miami Coral Park where he served as Drum Major of the Band of Gold his Senior year. He received his high school degree in the year 2000.
Mr. Gonzalez received his Bachelor in Music degree from the University of Miami with a Major in Music Education in 2005. During his 5 year tenure as Director of Bands at Ruben Dario Middle School, the band program received 4 straight years of Straight Superior ratings at the FBA Concert Music Performance Assessments and 3 straight years of Straight Superior ratings at the FBA Jazz Music Performance Assessments.
His Accomplishments with the Miami Coral Park Band of Gold include:
STATE CHAMPION IN CLASS 2A (FMBC 2011)
Mr. Gonzalez received his Bachelor in Music degree from the University of Miami with a Major in Music Education in 2005. · Straight Superiors at the FBA Marching Band MPA 2011, 2012 and 2013
· FMBC Finalists 2012, 2013 and (2015 - 2nd place Silver Medalists)
· Straight Superiors at the district level with the Concert Jazz Band and Wind Ensemble 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 (Also with Symphonic Band in 2015)
· Superior Rating at the state level with the Wind Ensemble (2012)
· Otto J. Kraushaar Award Recipient (Straight Superiors Wind Ensemble 2014)
· Straight Superiors at the state level with the Concert Jazz Band 2012,2013, 2014 & 2015
Mr. Gonzalez also served as Treasurer for the Florida Bandmasters Association District 16 from 2010-2012. He is part of the following associations: National Association for Music Education (NAfME), Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA), Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA), and is also part of the teacher's union at Miami Dade County Public Schools (UTD).
